The founding partner of Nelson & Haworth, Robin Nelson has well over 25 years of experience in designing exceptional golf courses. Originally with the firm of Robert Muir Graves of California, Robin moved to the firm of Golfplan in 1976 and soon became Vice President in charge of Asia. While in this position he designed Tanah Merah Country Club Garden Course and the Serapong Course in Singapore.

In 1982, Robin Nelson joined forces with Belt Collins, the well-known Hawaii based land planning, engineering, and landscape architecture firm to initiate and head up their golf design company, which has grown today to be the firm of Nelson & Haworth. Mr. Nelson oversaw the entire operation and its projects that have spanned over 20 countries on 5 continents.

Robin Nelson was voted a full member of the American Society of Golf Course Architects in 1987. The prestigious Boardroom Magazine named him "Golf Course Architect of the Year" in 2000. Also that year, Mr. Nelson founded the firm of Robin Nelson, Golf Course Architect to focus on new course designs in the United States and the South Pacific, all the while staying active with his partners Neil Haworth and Brett Mogg of Nelson & Haworth.
