Founded in 1987 by senior partner Robin Nelson,
the design firm of Nelson & Haworth originally formed part of the respected and
diversified Belt Collins group of
companies based in Hawaii. In early 2000, current partners
Robin
Nelson, Neil Haworth and
Brett
Mogg purchased Belt Collins interest in the company and now operate it independently
via offices in Singapore, Hong Kong, Montreal and San Francisco USA. Singapore is the head office of the company and the base for operations throughout Asia Pacific, Europe and Africa. Neil Haworth and Brett Mogg are based in Shanghai and Singapore respectively to provide quick, timely and economical design services to clients in the region. The US operations of the company are conducted through the independent offices of Robin Nelson Golf Course Architects, a design corporation owned and operated by Robin Nelson. Nelson & Haworth provide design and documentation support to this office as required and the two offices collaborate on projects frequently. Nelson & Haworth are well known for designing award-winning unique, challenging and enjoyable golf courses that sit lightly on the land and often incorporate elements of local cultural significance.
